Actually, I think we're going to get our first real taste of it this weekend...there's a front scheduled to come in and take us from around 100 F tomorrow (after several days of mid-80s to low 90s), down to the mid to high 70s F by Friday, with wind and even a chance of rain. And, it has been getting down into the high 50s/low 60s at night, which is a great deal better than when it was only getting down into the 80s at night.

We got a touch of that today/night, LMA... Lord, did it feel good... actually got some of the cooler weather early last week, but it didn't last... but we're getting that "smell" of fall in the air; ohhh, yes...

The best part of this time of year for me is the late evening breeze coming in my bedroom window. It feels exactly like when I was a kid and we'd go to the drive-in movies. Sometimes it's so vividly like that, that I swear if I close my eyes and open them again at just the right time, I'll be back there.

We got the rain and cooler weather here today, really a nice change from the upper 90s and 100s + we been having.

How's this for a fall setting? We have an old, rustic barn here that someone painted "Howg Fight" on the side (in very BIG letters), it can be seen from the road.
