Hey guys, just had to post a thread about the kick off to season 8! NSW viewers (not sure about everyone else) saw it last night have to say I am blown away... by the brilliant final of s7 last week and the opening episode this week, sensational acting!

(Its probably not such a big spoiler since almost everyone here always seems to be a season ahead of me in episodes, but anyway!)

from blond middle aged Elizabeth Weir to young brunette Elizabeth Weir. Nice casting work there SG, very subtle.

and Tealc's sudden appearance of hair! WHAT THE? LOL
I was laughing the whole episode!

I was really impressed with Amanda's acting last night, thought it was brilliant stuff.

What do you guys think?

the big question is... are they showing atlantis?

we are about 3 weeks behind @ double eps.

Who knows. Just imagine, another avenue for channel seven to torture us with.

double eps eh? they stopped that a few weeks ago for us. i estimate that we will see up to episode 6 MAX before they rip it off air.

i don't know. I don't know if i will be able to jump into it so easily. I love my sg1! Why does it have to end.......

Have you seen any atlantis online or anything yet?

torrents + adsl = yes :P

its not too bad, humour is great a lot better than sg1 was in its first series. the stories are good, especially the last eps screened in the US... loved it.

btw - while padders is moving forums etc ask him if he can change the aussie stargate message around. Since we are the 2nd highest posting forum in the Stargate ascifi community - I think our message should reflect that - (now into its 4th season.....thats a bit old.)

Maybe it should go something like this.....

Well and truly the craziest of all ascifi stargate fans, this bunch of wild (insane is their middle name) aussies are intent on taking over the Ascifi world. 2nd in posts only to general discussions, (and only behind in episodes due to an evil corporate adversary, channel seven) the girls and guys from Oz are rising in superiority to the Americans and Canadiens at an exponential rate. i love it, but we are not really rising much anymore :P i think we've done about 2% of our total posts this year
