| Dont get excited. A boring series of flashbacks of old episodes wrapped around the life of a Barber whos mind has been linked by an ancient device stone thingy to Jacks. What a waste of an episode and what a waste of a guest appearance. Shades of "Point of no return - Season 4" Is Stargate really THAT tired? Dissapointed yet again... Ranger |

I loved the way they worked in 'Wormhole Extreme' as a show with bad ratings that got cancelled after one episode. But would all the evidence Joe Spencer had accumulated be dismissed so easily if he had taken it to a newspaper rather than his wife? In the final 20 minutes there were some genuinely funny moments, but I have to agree that I'd much rather they got back to some solid storytelling again with the actors not having the week off work. BTW Has anyone ever tried Jack's Beer Omelette?

| Ok we all know they like to do a clip/bottle show at least once a season - and I quite like em as they remind me of the good stuff thats gone before. I really enjoyed Disclosure a couple of years ago and I thought this one was pretty good too I liked the way it worked on through the last 7 years and Joe and his son seeing Wormhole Extreme was funny - "they stole my idea" !!! Loved the little nods to the Simpsons as well - Jack and Joe discussing the whole "Burns as a Goauld" thing. Plus Jack very quietly sitting there saying he was sure he'd mentioned he been getting flashes of the life of a Barber - and that he found it relaxing. |

| I may be wrong but that last 'flashback' of Daniel and Jack looking at the stone, that was new right? Daniel's hair was never that bad, greasy and curtains! and Jack is far too grey. Just wondering... Way too many flashbacks, hardly anything new from SG1, but it was ok I suppose, not my fave ep at all. |

| yeah as far as clip shows go, it wasn't bad. I loved Joe's reaction over Daniel 'dying' and coming back and his comment on Jonas. So true to life ![]() But if Joe was getting the stuff from Jack's reports - they must have been very vividly and accurately written. And what about him meeting 'ascended' Daniel - i thought he didn't tell anyone about that until months later - so would he put it in a report?I didn't like the part of Jack just living with having flashes of Joe's life and not mentioning it - with all the weird stuff that happens to them, surely he would have recognised that as slightly out of the ordinary. At the end, Jack goes to meet his wife. What would he say? That all his stories have been true, isn't that a security risk? Surely the best thing would have been to take the stone from Joe and tell him to move on with his life? |

| Sigh.... Money saving ep again. This one it seems was just a foil for RDA to work with Homer from the Simpsons. Yes it was good to have a look at the flashbacks and if you were a new Stargate fan it was perfect......BUT!! I want some good storylines and I want Jack to behave like a good General should. I want to be on the edge of my seat again. Is it too much to ask?? This has to be the worse series so far, my head is in my hands. |

| Well, for a flashback episode it was kind of original, I'm not really pro flashbacks episodes because they tend to bore me. But I have to admit that this idea for a flashback was original and different. It was interesting seeing all that happen to Joe because of his visions. Quote:

| This will go down in history as the worst Stargate SG-1 episode ever. Intro a Mary Sue character like character and make a flashback episode. The only thing I find morbidly interesting . . what episodes where the writers admitting were "missteps"? |

| Re: 8.18: Citizen Joe No action on this thread for two years, I see. Well, I've just recently seen "Citizen Joe" and it was particularly interesting to me because this writer who scoped the Gate's history so well lived in Indiana, which is where I live. According to the various space series shows, Janeway lived in Bloomington, Indiana, which is not far from here, and the Quantum Leaper came from Northern Indiana. So I'm wondering why the writers (if they were someone other than Joe; his titles have the same name as the episodes) thought Indiana would be an appropriate location for such a man. Are they thinking of Kurt Vonnegut, perhaps? |

Kurt Vonnegut? If I read the wiki on him will I get the reference?
