The final instalment in the three-episode Vulcan arc. The title reportedly refers to a sacred Vulcan relic from the time of Surak. Will reportedly feature appearances by Gary Graham and Jeffrey Combs as Soval and Shran, respectively.

I'm impressed with the 3 parter.
The Soong a 3 parter was more exiting, but this 3 parter had
the same kind of well thought out story line (mechanics?).
It's tying up quite a few loose ends.

I'm glad there really was a space battle. Between the
Vulcans and Andorians. For a few moments I thought maybe
it wouldn't happen.

The Romulin / Vulcan trying to re-unite story line was introduced
again. I wonder if this will go somewhere in the future, or if it's
more of a lead in to the old Next Gen 2 parter with Spock?

Gosh it didn't realize I had missed so many episodes...I'll get caught up this week and share my views...looks like I'm about 5 behind.

I too have been impressed with this story line. However, I do not agree that Augments story line was as impressive though I have not seen the last episode in that series.

It's a pity that all the people who knock Star Trek as a 'particle of the week' episode, with no character development and the constant use of the reset-button, have stopped watching. Otherwise, Enterprise would still be being made.

I would rate this three-parter among the best stories in the whole of Trek, easily on a par with 'Best of Both Worlds'. It has evereything! It takes some things that I thought were nits, and turns them eminently believeable. It ties in both past and future events and people using the whole of the rich canvas that is Star Trek. I especially liked the ending with the Romulan.

I was slightly surprised by how consistent this multi-parter was. I mean jore oftent than not with two parters in any series you will get highs and lows, but this was spread over three episodes and still maintained a nearly constant 9-10/10 level of quality, it never lost direction, you'd learn something new and you were well......glued.

The first half of the Liverpool v Chelsea match took a back seat round my way for instance.

It all came together quite nicely, you can see the very beginniings of a federation and Trek history as we knew it, such a shame it's all coming to an end. If only there was a Roman Abramovic who felt the same way.

Well we've still got the rest of this season to look forward to i guess.....Hmm

T'Pol and Vulcan in general, The Romulans, will Archer have any long lasting side effects/changes to his character, all things to look for.

This must be one of the most promising stories from Trek for years!

So now, perhaps, we have a reason for why Vulcans are so loyal to Earth and the Federation (a question asked by Neo a long time ago)?
Archer re-introducing the Vulcan's to their religion, as well as preventing a war.

Meanwhile the series introduces another arc it could have used to guide it through the season, perhaps leading to the Earth Romulan war...
If only!
