| I really enjoyed this episode. It starts 17 years earlier with a vulcan finding some kind of artifact and all he says is "Surak". It never explains what that was all about, I'm guessing it will next week. And Archer has a Vulcan in his head. Is it just Arev or does he have Surak in his head? :blpaw: |

| I also really liked this episode. I rate it among the best 'Enterprise' episodes. It had everything: action, a puzzle, the vulcan mythos expanded. It did not break continuity, but rather actually explained the differences we see between the Vulcans in 'Enterprise' (mainly High Council members) and those of 'The Original Series'. I believe that the statuette was some kind of container for Surak's katra. Arev said that one of the Syrrans had Surak's katra, and I think he meant himself. This was why he needed to pass it to Archer before he died. It explains how Archer began to act Vulcan, and knew where to go. It makes sense for T'Pol's mother to be a Syrran. I also wondered, like Archer, about the Vulcan's saying that they were not explorers, about the dislike of mind-melds, and about the lying and deception of the High Council members |
