Everybody knows that good news has a corresponding bad news element.

The idea here is to offer the bad news to match the good news.

e.g.
The Good news might be:
Good News- It has stopped raining!

To which the reply might be:
Bad News- It is snowing

Then we start with the next good news.

Try:
Good News- The window cleaner called yesterday

Bad news: You no longer have any windows.

If I get it right I go with the next 'good news'?

Good news: Your insurance company called today.
