Revolt in 2100

This actually contains a novella, a short story and an essay. The novella and story are loosely related, but the essay is obviously a filler.

If This Goes On...
The year is 2100, America is ruled by a corrupt and despotic religious dictator. He maintains power through clever use of advanced psychological techniques and a dedicated military machine and spy network.
But under the surface the rebelious Cabal prepare for the day.

Coventry
Set many years after the last. Criminals are no longer punished by society, but are offerd the choice of psychological conversion or being sent to Coventry.

The beauty in Heinlein's writing is that he can explore and debate sophisticated psychological concepts in a compact and understandable way. This book is a classic in that style
