| HP: Classtime!!!! Hello and welcome to the first lesson of many. In this thread you may refer to me as professor if you wish. It doesn't matter to me. Since your reading this you have probably seen at least the first Harry Potter movie or read the books or maybe you've done both like me. Well I am here to teach the book and the movie the fact and the fiction of Harry Potter. If you have questions or comments feel free to ask them I won't bite nor ignore you.    |

| The first lesson a dursley intro Lesson One book one chapter one: The Dursleys and The Boy who lived What do we know about the Dursleys,really? If you've just seen the movie you'd say they live at number 4 privet drive. Thier names are Vernon Dursley, Petunia Dursley and Dudley Dursey. They are complete and utter muggles who hate anything to do with magic and Harry Potter. They are Harry's only living relatives and try to hide the fact that he lives with them.The Dursleys have brown hair.Petunia had a sister named Lilly Potter who she despised. What more is there to know about the Dursleys? First of all in the book the Dursleys have blonde hair not brown. Mrs. Dursley has nearly twice the usual amount of neck which helps her with her biggest hobby: craning her neck over fences to spy on the neighbors. Mr. Dursley is the director of a firm called Grunnings where they make drills and his office on the ninth floor. He leaves for work at half past eight in the morning. He leaves work at five oclock in the evening. He doesn't approve of imagination. he is afraid of getting involved with the potters andtheir "kind".The dursleys usually pretend that Petunia never had a sister. Petunia thinks Harry is a nasty common name. |

| Not that far in the book yet this is a chapter one description of the Dursleys in Capter one Dudley is only about a year old( about the same age as Harry) and just learns the word won't for the first time ever. He is not yet old enough to Pummel Harry. We find out about Dudley's favorite game in chapter two about ten years later. |

| Well Prof, it looks that like everyone else on this board, I've read the books and watched the movies. But i'm not as knowledgable as other people which i'm quite dissapointed about. I'm sure you can fill me in |
