The 2004 LEO Awards!

The 2004 LEO Awards

For those who aren't familiar with them, the LEOs are the awards given for the Canadian film and television industry in British Columbia. Since a lot of Canadian filming takes place in BC [but not by any means all of it so I'm not trying to slight anyone], these awards mean can mean a lot. The award ceremonies took place over Friday and Saturday, May 28th and 29th. 'Stargate:SG1' did, IMO, very well, along with at least one person who has been seen on the show [Colin Cunningham].

Here's the end results, not in the particular order awarded.

2004 Award: Best Lead Performance by a Male in a Dramatic Series
Program: Stargate SG1 - Lifeboat
Recipient(s): Michael Shanks

2004 Award: Best Lead Performance by a Female in a Dramatic Series
Program: Stargate SG1 - Grace
Recipient(s): Amanda Tapping

{{PLEASE NOTE: They were both in the 'Lead' Category this year, not supporting!}}

2004 Award: Best Guest Performance by a Male in a Dramatic Series
Program: Da Vinci's Inquest - 25 Dollar Conversation
Recipient(s): Colin Cunningham

2004 Award: Best Make Up in a Dramatic Series
Program: Stargate SG1 - Enemy Mine
Recipient(s): Jan Newman, Todd Masters, Lise Kuhr, Rachel Griffin, Dorothee Deichmann, Mike Fields

2004 Award: Best Sound Editing in a Dramatic Series
Program: Stargate SG1 - Lost City Park 2
Recipient(s): Devan Kraushar, James Wallace, Kirby Jinnah, Kelly Frey, Jason Mauza

Stargate was nominated in the following categories, but did not win:

Best Dramatic Series
Producer(s): N. John Smith, Brad Wright, Robert C. Cooper, Michael Greenburg, Richard Dean Anderson, Joseph Mallozzi, Paul Mullie, Andy Mikita, Damian Kindler, Peter DeLuise

Thank you for that info.

But please don't hurt my eyes with "IMO".
It's one of the most meaningless abbreviations I've ever
seen. It breaks the flow. It doesn't add anything to
the message.

Sorry, but I happen to like it , have used it for a number of years and will probably continue to use it.

Unless you're my editor and I'm getting paid for what I'm writing and than we'll talk ...

Bit dangerous though - they could have someone's eye out with those things!
