Well, as a semi-subcutaneous film of solid gold it SHOULD be possible to remove straight away. Might leave a bit of a scar though, even with his healing abilities. Would have been a better idea a series or two ago, for obvious (and none spoiler) reasons...

You'd think the all knowing (and pompous) Tok'Ra would know how to get the job done, but, "every time a Tok'Ra has died, a Jaffa was on the other end of a staff weapon." I don't expect them to volunteer to help Teal'c any time soon (even if he has saved their bacon a few times).

Teal'c may have "agreed" to skydive for a mission, but allow a human to cut the gold signet out of his head as he is anesthetized? If he can be anesthetized? I'm thinkin' that's doubtful. ![]()

I think as far back as "The Enemy Within" we saw that HE could be anaesthetised, it was the symbiote that then was the issue. Wasn't he unconscious for a while in "Foothold", just slower to go and quicker to come back?

have anyone "ask" Tealc if HE wants to remove the symbol of SLAVERY? and if he does, he might agree to undergo the procedure just to get rid of it. I STILL VOLUNTEER TO GO SHOPPING WITH HIM FOR HATS! ![]()

The problem for the show is that it is what distinguishes that character from everyone else in SG-1 - without the tattoo he is just another team member in fatigues who happens to favour the staff weapon...
