Books of Magic query Does anyone know if the Books of Magic is still worth reading after John Ney Reiber stops writing it? I have all the collections, and I was really disappointed to learn that Reiber wasn't going to wrap up the story. It seems such a waste to folow it that far and then give up, but it was Reiberr's (and Gaiman's before him) style that made it so much fun.

Re: Books of Magic query Books of Magic was continued as a series?? I have the original 4 part release - excellent work - but never realised that they'd tried to extend it as an ongoing DC Vertigo series. Is the story being left unfinished simply to help a new writer come in? I remember when Jamie Delano finished Hellblazer he effectively finished the concept, and Garth Ennis had to reinvent something of it all again. When Grant Morrison finished with Doom Patrol he also completely finished the story - and killed an continuation of the concept by attempted follow up writing by others. Or do you mean that the Books of Magic effectively finishes incomplete, and there is no planned continuation?? That would sound a little lame of DC.

Re: Books of Magic query After the original 4 part Books of Magic by Neil Gaiman, there are 7 collections all by John Ney Reiber: TBOM: Bindings TBOM: Summonings TBOM: Reckonings TBOM: Transformations TBOM: Girl In The Box TBOM: The Burning Girl TBOM: Death After Death. I've just learned that though the series continues after this, the writing is passed onto another author. I haven't seen any of these yet, and I wondered if anyone else had. I really liked both the Gaiman comics, and Reiber's slightly different take on the series, but suspect that no one else could continue in a satisfactory fashion now that Reiber has been doing it for so long.
