Season 5 DVD problems - Science Fiction Fantasy Chronicles: forums

Is anybody else having problems with the Season 5 DVD series 1?
I have tried several different copies and in four different players and the result is the same.
It skips a scene abut 11 minutes into the 1st episode.

DVDs out of the pack commonly have marks...etc on them which affect playback (and this is before you get your own fingerprints on it or drop it on the floor and get dust)

Use a fluid cleaner and a proper cleaning cloth (one of those rotating cleaners is sufficient, same stuff used for CDs) and make sure it's totally dry before putting it back into the player.

Using a soft, dry cloth gets rid of visible dust, but it isn't any good if other marks are present.

I've had quite unplayable DVDs from the local hire place play quite nicely once they have been given a thorough, but careful clean.

sounds like you have a faulty dvd, id just get it exchanged.

I did, I exchanged it three times.
The first two were faulty so I went to another store and made them check it before I bought it.
So I now have a good copy.
The batch at the first store must have been damaged some how?

I dont know if anyone else has the Season 3 box set, but when I try to watch 'Fair Game' (Disc1ep3) it freezes up unless you go to select a scene and choose a scene past (scene)1 and then skip back.

Has anyone else had this problem??
