| Expanded Universe Characters you want in the next film Ok there are so many cool Expanded Universe characters. Usually Lucasfilm oversees the other books and stories and approves them. George has shown an interest in some of the characters and ships in the past. (Dash Rendars Outrider blasting off from Mos Eisley in the special edition of A New Hope springs to mind) There are some great characters like Xizor, Kyle Katarn, Grand Admiral Thrawn, Bel Ibliss, etc. The list goes on and on. My personal choice would be Mara Jade (the Emporers Hand/assasin - future wife of Luke) I guess you would have to think about the age thing though, she would probably be only a kid at the time of the next film. Maybe people like Xizor or Thrawn, being alien gets rid of the problem of age. Who do you want to see ? |

| Why me of course. I'd like to see more imformation and history to the Elite troops selected by Palpatine to be his specialist body guard. We know they were the best soldiers selected up through the ranks of stormtroopers. We've seen plenty about them in the expanded universe (eg Crimson Empire) where we meet Carnor Jax who betrays the Emperor and slaughters the other guards, and the only one that survived Kir Kanos who later kills Jax. |

| Yeah you mean the guys in blue that look like Roman Penturions. Like you, I understood them to be the origin of the elite guard, but the more I think about it, who are they ? We know up until the clone army in ep 2, that the senate has no troops or army, and so they must be simply normal guards with the honour of guarding the Chancellor. The guys in red from Jedi were meant to be like the SAS, selected from various specialist imperial battalions. In the expanded universe they seem to have much more to do than just guard the emperor. |

| yeah i know, but i doubt we will learn that much about them , though if we do see the begining of the Empire the first thing we will msot likely see is hte guard switching out its uniforms, thats something to watch for.I wonder if we can catch Han when he was younger , backl when he was reckless :rolly2: |

I guess the other one is, will we ever see the Vader suit again. Reading some of the interviews with Christianson, it looks like we might. There's still hope yet....... ![]()

Just re-watching RotJ this week with my son, he was absolutely astounded at how unalike the image of Anakin standing alongside Yoda and Obi-Wan was to Christianson. IIRC it was the actor Sebastian Shaw. Both David Prowse and James Earl Jones thought that it should have been them, but neither would look right now we know thw whole story. If there is to be the final lightsabre battle on the volcano/lava pit, I assume that that scene will be the climax of the film. Therefore, any 'helmet wearing' could only come at the very end of Episode III.

If you think about Han in the original films, he could be anything up to 15 years older than Luke (luke early twenties, Han mid to late thirties). Since we know Luke and Leia will be born in the next film I think there would be room for Han. As long as their paths don't cross too much. eg like Threepeo being made by Vader/Anakin, I never did like that idea.
