| LOTR Architecture Anybody interested in historical architecture as used in LOTR, even (at least for them as live in the UK) a chance to visit a few sights to prompt the imagination? There is a lot of very accurately produced historical buildings and armour floating around. Edoras, the capital of Rohann, is a good example of an Anglo Saxon great hall, whilst Minas Tirith is Norman castle building taken to its ultimate. Minas Tirith (on a much smaller scale) can be seen almost anywhere in the UK from Edinburgh to Truro, but one of the best I know of is Corfe Castle near Poole. Anglo-Saxon villages, because they are largely wood are more difficult, but could try the West Stow Saxon village in Bury St Edmunds |
