X2: X-Men United (2003)

We never created a thread to discuss this movie!

Here it is now...

I got the DVD for this film over Christmas, and have re-watched it again recently. Upon seeing it in the cinema my first reaction was that it was far better than the first movie - and although the excitement of the opening scene with Nightcrawler at the White House isn't as exciting on the small screen, I was still blown away by it.

The casting really was excellent - I thought that Cumming was an inspired choice for Nightcrawler, and Brian Cox (who seems to have been in all the movies I have seen for the last year) was suitably menacing as Stryker.

My only real complaints with this installment are that Cyclops and Professor X felt neglected to me - and that Halle Berry still stinks as Storm. Can you believe there are rumours of a Storm spin-off movie???

There absolutely has to be another sequel, the ending just left me begging for more.

hALLE ROCKS AT STORM!!!! Now, she is gonna suck at Catwoman but still rocks as Orroro.
Anyway, i love this movie. Although i liked 1 more this one rocked. I enjoy Mystique and she got way more lines.

Yeah, I was glad to see more Mystique too, but Halle Berry, while good in some movies, seems to sleepwalk through the ones she has blatantly only taken to pay the bills...arg.

Grabbed this at the store yesterday -- I caught it in the theater when it released - just hadn't bought it yet - and had a hankering for the 2nd one after I re-watched the first one --

I like this - and it was nice that Mystique got to actually 'be' in the movie this time -- usually she's someone else - meaning the other actors are working - kinda nice to see the person hired for the role get to play the role... (that was ramble-y) --

The plot for this one wasn't as strong as the first one, but it was still really good.

And is it just me, or are these 2 movies way more kick-@$$ on the big screen? There's just something about watching it on the TV that just loses part of the whole 'story' ----- *shrug*

Thumbs up

This movie was great, finally I could see it and really love it. It have good action and it was good to see Wolverine find out about where he come from. I was surprised about what happen to Jane at the end. I really enjoy the part when the police ask Wolverine to put down the knifes, and he say I can't. That was hilarious. The movie was great from beginning to the end.

Re: X2: X-Men United (2003)

X2 remains the greatest xmen film so far. The best part is when Wolverine goes into a berserker rage!
The only real complaint I have over the film is the scene with the cat in the drakes house. The film could have done without that. (At least that is the only complaint off hand that I have)
