Interesting ep. So we know that Scorpy can tell if a person is lying just be looking at them when they do so. Must be handy when dealing with all those under him.

Now we know why he hates Scarrans and works for the peacekeepers. Interesting how the peacekeeping and all their not be contaminated bit made an exception for him. Makes sense really. He hates the Scarrans so and is loyal to peacekeepers, besides where would he go, he can't go back to the Scarrans.

The idea of the peacekeepers getting that wormhole knowledge is scary. Really liked when shadow John just pulled that info away and said if you can't do it on your own your not ready for it.

It was a great episode, finally we know more about Scorpius. The story of his fathers and his early years is really cool. Love the exchange between the John clone and Scorpius. It was a very interesting episode.

Personally I disliked this episode... I really didn't want to know more about Scorpy. I didn't want to identify with him at all, and him telling his story casts him as the protagonist. :errrr: I was with HolodeckJohn on this one... "let's not and say we did."

Now that I got your blood up (hopefully) I'll tell you what I did like about this eppy.

First of all I think it's important for us to see what is driving the crew nuts about John. Without his point of reference, his guide, he's adrift and trying to cling to the wormhole research like a life-vest. Without Zhaan's calming and steadying influence, he's forgetting about everyone else in this squall and driving them away. :erm:

Second, I liked HolodeckJohn. He's driving Scorpy just as nuts as Harvey is to John. I, too liked the way he took it all away from Scorpy at the end of the half-breed's story. Poetic justice. Just because you think your quest is righteous, doesn't necessarily justify the means with which you accomplish the task. Scorpy may be single-minded, but is his real motivation still revenge? That's not a all righteous, yet he believes it is. He's still twisted and needs some straightening out.

I did like knowing how he knew John was not Sebacean back in Nerve: "That man... is an imposter. Seize him." And it explains exactly what Scorpy meant by, "You do look Sebacean, yet your energy signature is quite dissimilar." I figured it was some kind of natural ability in him, but I didn't know it was completely unique to Scorpius. I thought it might be a Scarran thing... guess not, eh?

I also dug (although was grossed out by) Linfer's slow tissue liquification. She was so close to figuring out her problem, then realized that it was still out of her reach. I wonder if the PK pilots they had sent out liquified as slowly or if she had partially solved the problem resulting in a slower progression of the degeneration. How long did the PK pilots take to die? :erm:

And lastly, I liked Pilot's desire to accept Linfer's offer. Of course he'd love to do nothing more than explore (what a trekker). All he ever wanted to do was see the stars. I love Pilot... such a gentle soul.

Anyway, that's the long and the....

well, just the long of it, I guess. I warned you that I'm long-winded. Later, Scapers!

The Ball in Incubator

I recently rewatched Incubator AKA Scorpy's origin.

Early in the episode were John is annoying D'argo and Pilot about sensing a wormhole. The entire time he is playing around with a ball.

Then at the very end of the EP. While Srorpy is thanking braca for his duty he is playing with a ball in the same way.

Could this mean there's a neuro John in Scorpy waiting to come out.

What do you think?

I must admit I didn't see all of this one. It was a little disgusting for me.
