I was born in California, does that count for anything?
I was born in Swaziland does that count for anything??
And to geographobics; yes it exists.
It's a small state with no beach between South-Afrika and Mozambique.
It is a country with weird caracteristics. You want examples??
Well:
The king has now about 30 wives (don't shout me if I missed by a few, but the previous king had over a 100)
Before the girls start a petition: It's the only country I know where both women and men are able to have multiple husbands/wives.

As most countries in Southern Afrika it suffers from Aids and poverty problems.

Of course it counts for something, just like I was born just before breakfast, on a VERY snowy day in April, in my parents bedroom...

Sounds like the king will spend most of his time completely knackered!!! When does he get to do any ruling??? Or is that left to his Government???

Hell of a difference between Swaziland and Belgium... (Swaziland wasn't known as The Belgian Congo, was it???)

It is the sad state of the world today... The First World gets richer, and the Third World gets poorer and dies... And yet nobody with any influence will do a damn thing about it!!!

Well the government sometimes decides something and if it's okay for the king, there is a new law. If the king wants something; there is a new law.

Nope Belgian Congo is now the Democratic republic of Congo and lies in the middle of Afrika and is way bigger.Rwanda and Burundi have been Belgian too, but they gained full independance a long time before Congo did.(Rwanda and Burundi were pretty small when still under Belgian control)
Swaziland was actually a protectorate of Great-Brittain, untill 1968 (they gained independance then) (it's a shame; you live in Brittain and don't know of it )

Swaziland is small (half the size of belgium) and their telephone network sucks, they have a small gold mine and some iron-mines, I've been there twice (+ when I was born) and I liked it very much.

Re: Just joined

Yepers Scalem and Hurst is a small loging town in norhtern Ontario and surprisingly it's still on the map. I haven't been there since I was old enough to barely remember. What happens to allot of these little places that use to be loging comunities in the north is if they are lucky enough to have roads going into them and they have lakes they are converted into tourist areas. If not they just become ghost towns after the loging companies move on. It's a big province with allot of wilderness, beautiful to visit in the summer months. South of central Ontario from Sudbury down is getting to be pretty well built up. it is very much like the US in the southern area of Ontaio.

Got any links you can share with us of Swaziland? I'll see if I can get one of Ontario to share.
