| Its proably different now, but my old school had simple, but very effective rules for muckup day: - Keep it ALL on the school grounds - Do pretty much whatever you want, BUT it must all be cleaned up by Lunchtime (and you were responsible for cleaning up your own messes). - A certain level of harrassment of other students was permitted, provided no property was damaged or people injured. We were also allowed to put on a concert for the rest of the school between first recess and lunch. This gave LOTs of opportunities for satire and letting various teachers know what you *really* thought of them In general so long as it was entertaining, you could say/do what you liked.Mind you, this was 20 years ago Gone are the days where students would hoist a huge "for Sale" sign across the span of the harbour bridge (yes, this really did occur several times during the 70s and 80s - usually curtesy of the private school students in town) |

| hehe. My Muck-up day last year saw a wide variety of household furniture end up on the canteen roof, along with a couple of blow-up dolls, plenty of beer bottles and a huge tarp that said "Perry, ya mums a rig" (Mr Perry is principal). Not to mention, a rather destructive bonfire on the school oval, honey on school seats and the usual egging. We got in a bit of trouble for rogue student who started the fire, but mostly we were ok. (They threatened the usual...i.e. no formal, no presentation yadayada). The best idea (never became practice though, we couldn't find the material we needed) came from our school captain who planned to spell out the huge words "Yr 12 2003" across the school footy oval by planting BAMBOO seeds! That way when the damage became obvious we were well and truly gone! Talk about a lasting legacy on the sports school we attended by defacing their pride and joy oval. Apparently bamboo, once planted, cannot be gotten rid of. hehe. Pity it never saw the light of day - we couldn't find any bamboo seeds! However the yr 12 this year at my school went a few steps too far and broke 67 windows, and superglued every external lock in the school. I can suddenly understand these days why principals are not allowing muck up festivites...lol |

It's pretty good but 3 of my best mates just beat me so they never gonna let me hear the end of that. It should be enough to get me into my engineering course but we find that out in abot a month |
