Need Help , looking for Name of Movie ...

hi there,

i am looking for the Name of a specific SF, i couldn´t find it yet.

It should be from the 70´s or 80`s i think.

Here is it´s story as far as i can remember :

3 Ships from earth are on the first mission to a moon of jupiter. (landing technique alike 1969 moon landing)
An accident happens during landing - 2 ships lost, the survivors return to earth with the remaining ship.
AS com was lost too, no orbital station receives the returnees, so the ship has to make a crash-landing reentry to earth.
8 or so survivors stumble through the desert to find a way to any city ...

So far - so much for my memory of this movie ...

Can anyone help with title, year etc. ? If so, thanks in advance

Question Does anyone remember...

Hello everyone,

Sometime around 1980 I saw a movie about an alien monster with laser eyes, which only attacked people that it sensed were afraid of it. It started with a blind man tapping his way through the dark with his stick, and the narrator's voice explaining something about being afraid of the dark. The movie ended with the monster exploding, after having been set on fire.

I believe the name of the movie was something like "Fear of the Dark" or "Beware the Dark". I've scoured the web for information, but found nothing. Does anyone remember this film?

Thx

Nomad

Merging posts to create New thread.......

I had an email from stephanie capon asking about another old movie.

Stephanie -- I did reply to you, but the email just bounced back again.

My suggestions were to do a www.imdb.com search or else a www.google.com search.

It helps if you know a word from the title, or the name of an actor, but generally people only remember a scene. (someone was asking about 'Invaders from Mars' last year, but could only remember the scene with the boy and the pit in the back garden)

My second suggestion was a thread here. I'm not a great film buff, but I'll certainly try, I like a puzzle. If I can't help, then I'm sure Tabitha, Ray Gower or ZachWZ might be able to. So I'm creating this on her behalf.

Nomad and waschtl -- I've no idea on those two queries, sorry.

Stephanie's query was regarding an old 50-60's movie. It had a severed hand in it that crawled up the back of a car seat then scooted across the bench. It also had a needle-like protrusion that emerged from the finger tip that went into the eye of a cow.

My only suggestion would be 'The Crawling Hand' maybe http://uk.imdb.com/title/tt0056961/

I know the one with the hand  Just can't remember the name of the film

It starts with a scene of some Egyptian chap getting his hand chopped off for his evil deeds, then advances to a British Mueseum where the mummified hand is unwrapped. The hand becomes animated when blood gets dripped on it. The hand is ultimately dealt with by setting fire to it.
It looked and felt like a black & white Hammer Horror, though it wasn't actually produced by them.
Don't think it was The Mummy's Hand (1940), but a later version with a title like The Curse/Revenge of the Mummy's Hand, but I can't find it on IMDB.

The second sounds like a dubbed Japanese Godzilla monster flick and I know nothing about those at all!

And the Jupiter one all I can offer is a book named Moons of Jupiter (out of print) though our luckless heroes are actually somewhere else entirely.

Came across some old pictures from Hammer Films. The film with the hand is Blood from the Mummy's Tomb (1971), with Valerie Leon
