Oops! Bad me - forgot to do this last month -

So - anyone been doing any writing??

Me? Oh yeah - lots, oddly --

Even when I was on vacation - when I couldn't sleep - I'd sit up and write --- of course, I was writing a sequel-ish bit to an, as yet, unfinished story --- ugh!

I finished my Harry Dresden / BtVS / AtS x-over a while back; been working on "Sono Con Lei" -- not quite finished yet; Um - still waiting on some feedback on "AUlfaL" -

Probably others --- I've just been writing lots -

Oh i've been doing a lot of writing. Lots. Oh course just when I think I'm donw with one people tell me it needs an actual plot. *huffs*

yeah - those darn plots!

pssst -- that's why one should draw up an outline first -- keeps that plot thing as kind of a non-issue --

Well it was really a short fluff thing I wrote while shopping int he food store on a note book. *frowns* But aparently it didn't have enough plot for the people at the Highlander board...

Ah - see, there is your mistake - posting a written piece w/o first having it examined by a beta reader -- *tsktsk*

That is one of the cardinal fan-fic writing no-no's! It gets you sent to the Official Highlander Fanfiction University! (which Ana and I are working on - b/c we're gluttons for punishment and we're evil!)

Fluffy, quick-written stuff is fine - great actually - b/c it means you got something down on paper - but, once that's done - grab a beta and hammer out the dents -

gah...I just don't see the point of getting a beta for something that's barely two pages. I mean that's with the header! It's barly anything at all more of a fictlet....

Oh well at least most of my other fics have plot. I really tend more towards plot, plot and even more plot in the stuff I write. Now I must get back to work on my newest fic The Horsemens World. *grins* it's an AU of what if Mac had failed in stopping The horsemen and they take over the world. *snorts* a week and I wave about two pages. I write so bloody slow by hand....

Ah, but a 2 page ficlet can become a lovely full-fledged fic w/ a beta and a rewrite!

Ficlets are but baby fics -- feed them and they grow --

and that was a really lame analogy - but it works -

I haven't been doing any writing lately, but I was just thinking earlier today how I'd like to get back to writing. I've got a Stargate SG-1 fic that I started. I'd like to finish it someday, but I don't know if I will. It's a humorous fic and I think I'm figuring out that I'm not very good at writing humor.

And as for writing in general, I don't know when I'll get back to it. I've got Gatecon and Vancouver pics to scan and post. I've got 26 rolls of film, so that will probably be taking my computer time for a while, instead of writing.

get your photos put on CD -- though, if you have 26 rolls of film - it'll cost you a LOT ---

I have Gatecon pics too - but I can't put 'em up until I have the money to pay for the piccie CDs I had made -- ack!

so - I'm writing until I can get that paid for ---

I started a new fic - bad me - but it's from Fred's POV - it's an AtS fic -- dunno when/if I'll get around to posting it - it's just a ramble right now -

I'm still working on my other stuff -- what I *really* need to do is finished typing up my Harry Dresden / BtVS x-over fic and polish that up so I can post that monster; and get SCL finished too - why do all my fics turn into giant monsters?? *sigh*

I actually found some fic snippets that I'd forgotten about while I was looking for another fic piece -- eep!

I seem to have misplaced some fics - I mean - they're on disks somewhere - just not sure which disks and where --- which is a bad thing, btw ----

I have some half-typed peices -- that I had finished typing - and now I need to find the finished bits --

oops!

I'll find 'em - scour the house 'til I do!

Maybe that's what I'll do after I get home from my hair appt tonight!
