| Re: Tad Williams' "Shadowmarch" No, I don't. I was waiting for him to finish the last, given that I have several epic series on the go that are unfinished (though I can finally knock Katherine Kerr off that list this year. I just haven't felt like returning to Deverry just yet). Now I can get all three in one swoop. |

| Re: Tad Williams' "Shadowmarch" Except that there's to be 4 books, not three, Clanny....unless he's convinced the publisher to release Books 3 and 4 at the same time? His web site only listed Vol. 3 as available next month...... |

| Re: Tad Williams' "Shadowmarch" Oh. Great. I've already got them in the pipeline, and now I'll have to read them, and I'll have ANOTHER big epic on the go, hanging on, waiting for the next book. Rats. |

| Re: Tad Williams' "Shadowmarch" No it will include here as well but Melbourne and Sydney usually gets books up to 1 week after Europe and US releases sometimes more and unfortunately as you know W.A up to 1 month after that, so for you let's say approx 2 months from now. |

| Re: Tad Williams' "Shadowmarch" Take heart, Clanny; volume IV (Shadowheart) is now slated for release at the end of this year, according to Tad's web site. If you pace your read, you should arrive there with a minimum of plot loss/reread infliction... ![]() Gol, did you see the titles for that after-life investigator series Tad's turning to next (as we discussed a few months back)? | Re: Tad Williams' "Shadowmarch" And Olaf did have the titles already....should have looked deeper into the sub-forum here. Ah well, a little repetition is good for the memory (apparently at least mine, anyway.... ) |

| Lagomorphing | Re: Tad Williams' "Shadowmarch" I'm about halfway through Shadowmarch at the moment, and not sure whether to carry on. I bought it from an airport bookshop, and it was the only thing I had to read on holiday, but now I'm back, I fear it will quickly lose its draw. It seems a complete rehash of The Dragonbone Chair so far, but with less-engaging characters and nowhere near as well done. Many of the plot elements are exactly the same. If it were by any other author, everyone would be saying what a rip-off of MST it is. It has, however, made me want to read Dragonbone Chair again, so some good has come of it. |
