Christopher Nolan (Memento, Insomnia) is gearing up to direct a new Batman project, apparently loosely based on Batman: Year One. At least in the sense that it will be darker and less cartoony than the more recent offerings, and will reboot the movie franchise - no more Bat-credit cards!

Movie starts shooting at Shepperton (I think) in the new year.
