What do you want to see in season 8?(SPOILERS SEASON 4+) I want to see the aliens that were terriforming/changing the planet in scorched Earth in season 4(With the Encarings). Not the bloke who is terriforming/changing the planet but the species that he is terriforming the planet for. If the species don't breathe in oxygen, then its bin 3 years since the first mission. Maybe the creatures have adapted to oxygen in some way and be able to become an allied species to earth.:alienooh: :alienooh:

Tollan? Where Stargate command now have Prometheus, they could dispatch Prometheus to do a search for any Tollan survivers. Where the Goa'uld attacked and destroyed the stargate and probably many buildings they haven't had time to rebuild there own stargate. But any ways I think Prometheus should take a look just in case of any signs of inhabitants of the goa'uld which could become useful. If the goa'uld aren't expecting no one then SG-1 could get naquadah and stuff like that with little ease. We really need to know what happens to the Tollans. Did they survive or not?

So what has Nyan been up to all this time? Stuffed away in some dusty lab catagorizing artifacts doesn't sound like a meaningful life to me (although it beats being shot as a traitor back home) There are Furlings to find, not to mention more Ancients. Wonder how Orlin is doing as his ascended self. Still got that crush on Sam? And there's dear little Shifu. Cute kid and smart enough to know how not to know the stuff that he shouldn't know. But, of course, he still has the knowledge even if he keeps it buried. Could he perhaps save the Tok'ra? The Tok'ra have got to stop all this dying off. It takes practically nothing to kill them and their numbers keep dwindling. I still think they should let their human bodies do what comes naturally and grow their own little future hosts. They've had thousands of years and still haven't discovered sex -- something Jack could point out with glee.

Given the nature of their society, the Tok'ra could even adopt a fairly liberal approach to procreation, since that way would maximise the genetic knowledge being passed on... [perhaps such rampant, er, doings, is not what the writers want to concentrate on - despite the benefits to this race and also the likelihood of SG-1 finding a very liberal society in their travels... ]

I would just like to see the whole team - Daniel, Sam, Teal'c and Jack - going through the Stargate together, having fun getting into trouble, and all being mutually supportive and friendly. And I'd especially like to see Janet brought back from the dead... Best wishes, Hatshepsut  --

| What do I want? I want the whole team doing what they do best: exploring the universe and finding ways to beat the Goa'uld. I want Janet and Hammond with us at SGC. And, to tell the truth, I wouldn't at all mind Jonas to rejoin us. {Okay - I know somefolks will say I was just very condesending in that statement. I'm not meaning that. I've come to like Jonas over the last few eps of S6 and would enjoy seeing him interact with everyone again.} Now, after hearing about the TV Guide articles and the possibility/fact of jack getting promoted, I'm not sure how that would all work out, but hey... it's what I'd like to see, which is the point of this particular thread. | I'd like for them to sort out the reetou storyline they started. Hundreds of Reetou were going to attack earth... and we only ever heard of a few of them sneaking through the gate. They left it really open ended. |

aris. I love aris. I'd love seeing him again. and jonas. I know some don't like him and so be it. But i also think that another character might help fill in the jack-liteness of things so far. And rather than going to all the muss and fuss of making up a new one, why not use the extra character that they already have? And i did enjoy the jonas/daniel interactions in fallen/homecoming. Maybe a 5 person team could be the best of both worlds, daniel's back to make his fans happy, and jonas would be back to make the rest of us happy

| depending Well ... depending on what they do with Jack and his promotion [as mentioned in the TV Guide article] and the spin-off series, it would make sense to bring Jonas back, at least part time, since he's already trained in how the SGC functions [and Corin is well familiar with the cast and crew]. | Please - no more Quinn - unless you want to bring back Corin Nemec as a different character altogether, totally unconnected with Quinn or Colona, and with a credible backstory. The character he was saddled with in series 6 was just too preposterous to watch and I don't want to miss another series. :crying: I mean, who in their right minds - and I'm assuming the JCS are - would employ another planet's traitor in the front line of the defence of our planet? And how can a thief take the high moral ground in arguing the toss with Jack when he's about to do something unethical? Daniel can. Quinn can't - not believably anyway. Anybody else, just please not Quinn. Agree with Webmouse - bring back Nyan. Now there was a well thought out and dependable character. ![]() Best wishes, Hatshepsut  P.S. And no in-yer-face 'ship either - leave that (and slash ) to the fan fic. writers.-- |

Problems... Jack getting a promotion? Well, with RDA's reduced schedule his charecter is a bit differant, not as active. Maybe something in the plot could effect change and have him forced to stay on base most of the time. If he is getting promoted to General, it's HIGHLY doubtful he's going to be on missions. Unless the show ditches the Air Force Technical advisor, but let's remember that The Lost City might effect a lot of change. The public might learn the truth about the SGC and the threat to Earth (I think it's time that they do, since I just cannot buy the fact that they are making F-302s and BC-303s in lartge numbers, it takes too many people. Over the years too many people have learned the existance of the SGC and now with THIS, there's no way to hide it). That's sort of off-topic. I don't see Sam being in chrage of SG-1 though. She doesn't have a military enough mind to cut it. She's a scientist, her expertise is irreplacable, but she doesn't have the charecter needed to lead. Teal'C is really the only one who does, but that's not going to happen. If they could write a new military-type commander for SG-1 that would be good, but how do you have him/her be both interesting and likeable without making him/her a Jack clone? Problematic. Anyway... SPOILERS for Lost City I and II: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Hammond is getting offered a command that may be more important than the SGC. Now, this MIGHT be commanding the Prometheus but it also might mean that Hammond will be in Atlantis, if so Jack could take command of the SGC.

I'm gonna move this thread to the Season Seven section since we still don't have one for Season Eight. But it's still better than having spoilers about Janet, Jack's promotion et al here in Gen. Discussion. Summer ![]()

Yeah, that thought crossed my mind as well. The public could learn of the existance of a new ship, Earth's first space-farring battle-cruiser based on "years of secret research dating back to the Cold War" or some kind of cover story.
