3.01: Into the Moonless Night

Airs September 29th!!!

Everything the Mutant X team thought they knew about their world and Sanctuary no longer applies. They learn, both through Lexa and their missions, that they are part of a much larger experiment than their leader, Adam Kane, had led them to believe. Just as the team thinks they're starting to put the pieces of the puzzle together, Lexa makes them realize once again how naive and sheltered they have been.

Lexa arrives with her own personal and professional agenda, which will remain hidden from the Mutant X team for some time. Parts of her past will gradually unfold, including her association with Adam Kane, but the team won't be immediately aware of her ultimate mission/goal.

Last season, as the far as the Mutant X team knew, Adam was simply trying to protect the world against the evils of unbridled genetic research. What is learned this season is that he was actually part of a much bigger picture and was responding to pressures the Mutant X team knew nothing about.

Thanks. Wish I could have gone, and they would have had real life Chris dolls to buy. LOL
Much prefer him, but I'd buy the likeness.

I saw the end of this episode today, and it looks pretty good. It's on again tomorrow night, so maybe I'll catch the beginning.

I must admit the season opener was excellent!

Still so much mystery surrounding Adam! I won't say anymore until all of you have seen it.

Thumbs up

I really enjoy the episode, it was great. I have to agree Darkcity that they are keeping the aura of mystery around Adam's persona. I think that is great. We still don't know for certain what he really was doing, for who or why. The only sad thing is that he's not in the open credits. So probably it means he will be as Eckhart a guest star from time to time. Well, we have to see since Brennan kill Eckhart in this episode. When I was beginning to enjoy him all over again as the baddie in Mutant X. So we will have to wait and see is this time he's dead, finito very toasted for real. I hope not.

I really enjoy how they introduce the character of Lexa. Why Adam will have her name as password? Interesting. It was cool to see the reactions of the team to her. I have to admit that at the beginning of the episode I almost cry when they showed all the thing about Emma. It was very emotional.

Also love when Lexa tells Jesse to don't accept others so easily to their group since he was the only one that don't give her a hard time. I think Lexa will carry some of Adam's mystery in this season, since she knows things the others don't. Is going to be interesting how it will follow.

Again, I love Eckhart's new mutants. The powers they have are awesome and different.

Looking forward to see more, the beginning was great.

I to enjoyed the way they brought in Lexa.

The mystery around Adam and her is interesting. Mutant 1? So how many teams were there before the current team? Where are the other members of Mutant 1? Who is she searching for?

I agree with you Krystal, I was looking forward to having Eckhart back.

Now that he and Adam are gone it made me think, Adam was working for a group, who was Eckhart working for? Will see a new baddie taking over where Eckhart left off?

Will Brennan get with the program and see he needs to stay with the group and fight?

I think he would stay with the group more for Jesse and Shalimar than anything. And he probably will get with the program in his own way. I think we would still see the rebellious Brennan, now more than they don't have a leader per se. I don't think he will acccept all that Lexa say to him and follow her blindly he probably will give her some headaches more than the ones he give Adam. He knows Adam he doesn't know Lexa at all.

Is going to be interesting.

Overall, I enjoyed this episode. There were a lot of points about it that I liked, however, others left me dissatisfied.

First off, I really wish they had picked up where the season finale ended. I kept wondering what happened to Emma, how the team got out of the building, and what happened to Adam.

As usual, I really enjoyed Jesse's character. He was loyal to his friends, and while he didn't question Lexa too much, he made sure she knew where he stood.

Brennan seemed a little self centered in the episode. I know he was on his own for a long time before joining MX, but you would think the past two years would have shown him how important the others are in his life.

One thing that really puzzled me was the that no one seemed too upset by the fact that Lexa had broken into the Sanctuary. For all they knew, she could have been working for the GSA. I wish the team had been more skeptical of her.

The only thing that really bothered me, though, was that the whole team couldn't have killed Eckhart. I hate that only one of them had the pleasure. I think seeing Shal, Jess, and Bren do it together would have been much better.

You got a good point there.

You're probably right but I can never accept Eckhart dead and so soon. :crying: That's really was one of the things I totally not enjoy of the first episode.

This was so sad. I felt tears run down my eyes when shal was like "Oh my God, thats EMMA!" And then Ms. Lexa comes and i hated her, but i now love her. And then Adam is dead (or so they say). If you ask me this was depressing. However it had entertaining fighting scenes and a good plot.
