How many times have you seen "Reloaded"? I keep seeing mentions of how people have seen this four or more times (yes, I'm looking at YOU, pkgrl!) Just the once so far for me, but it certainly requires at least another two or three views before November.

any ideas when IMAX release is? particularly in U.K.? All I found is this: Latest News: UK release dates for The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions have not yet been confirmed. Details will be posted here as soon as the screening dates are confirmed. some IMAX news I found on net : By BRUCE KIRKLAND -- Toronto Sun TORONTO -- The Matrix Reloaded just got bigger, sharper and even more spectacular. The IMAX verion of Larry and Andy Wachowski's controversial science-fiction film is being released today at the seven Famous Players IMAX theatres across Canada, including three in the Toronto area. The IMAX treatment does not make Reloaded any smarter: If you already despise the film in its regular 35-mm form -- as many Toronto Sun readers and e-mailers do -- then the Wachowski's pop-culture philosophizing, loose-ends plotting and extended fight-scenes will still drive you nuts. But if you think the film is provocative fun -- as many other readers obviously do in their endorsement of my gung-ho review -- then this new format enhances the experience. IMAX, a Canadian invention, is renowned for documentaries shot on large-format film stock with frames 10 times larger than 35-mm. Combined with the most stable projection in cinema, viewers are guaranteed a much sharper image with far more detail seen on screen. The aural experience is also pumped up with 12,000 watts of quality sound. Since 2002, IMAX has been converting 35-mm films into the equivalent of true IMAX. This is different from projecting 35-mm films in an IMAX theatre, where the results are usually disappointing because the image gets fuzzy and warped. Technically, Reloaded might be IMAX's best effort so far. The detail revealed in the re-mastered IMAX format is astounding, from the moon-crater pores on Laurence Fishburne's face to the intricacies of the mechanics of the city of Zion. IMAX also enhances flaws. If a hair or dust particles contaminate the print, they are distractingly large when projected on screen. Inside the film itself, systemic flaws are also magnified, such as awkward colour shifts from one dimension to another. An example comes when Neo (Keanu Reeves) first meets the Oracle (the late Gloria Foster). In IMAX, when he goes through the door to her "reality" in the grotty urban park, the special effects of the transition look fake. In contrast, sequences such as the entire highway demolition chase look even better, more believable. Overall, the eye candy of The Matrix Reloaded is simply staggering.

The only information I have is that it was released in IMax in the US on 6/6. I'll probably be seeing it with friends on the 22nd, 28th, or 29th. Depends on how our schedules mesh. ![]() As for UK releases, just found this on www.imax.com. bfi London IMAX Cinema 1 Charlie Chaplin Walk South Bank, Waterloo London, UK SE1 8XR 44-207-902-1234 www.bfi.org.uk Hope that helps. Geez. Wonder if I'll be able to wait that long to see Reloaded again. I might have to go next weekend just to keep from getting strung out. :errrr:

Hey, don't think for a second that I got to keep it. He just let me borrow it overnight. If I was a comptent computer owner/user I would have copied it, but since that would have taken more time than I had to spend... I just watched it. I was a very happy camper in either case. ![]() Still planning on the IMAX trip next weekend. Huge Keanu, huge Carrie-Anne, huge jaw on Laurence Fishburn! Whoa!![]()
