Re: Favorite Eddings Character? Hmm, this is a difficult one as so many of his characters are so memorable. I think I'll have to plump for 'Zakath from the Mallorean - he just seems to be so well rounded and dynamic. Other favourites include Stragen, Emban and Sorthi from the Elenium/Tamuli and Regina/Renate (take your pick) from Regina's Song. I'll set myself up for a great deal of criticism here by saying that the one character I'm really not fond of is Silk. I just find him too over the top. Thank god thank, in the Elenium/Tamuli, his characteristics were largely split between Stragen and Talen - it made them a little more believable.

Re: Favorite Eddings Character? How do you choose your favourite character from such a vast array of wonderful personalities?? Too hard. I love Silk though. To have such a huge knowledge of the world and to know a back way out of everywhere would be a useful skill! ![]()

Re: Favorite Eddings Character? I have many favourites: Aphrael, 'Zakath, Mandorallen.... My overall favourite is Errand. I never much liked Polgara and Ce'Nedra is one of the most annoying characters I've ever encountered in any book....

Re: Favorite Eddings Character? Regardless of my name, Belgarath is my favourite character. I love the dry irony he and some other characters use. Many of you like Beldin, so do I. But im lucky i dont have to do anything with any Beldin-like guy in real life. I don't think many of you would like to cooperate with a guy like that either. He always complains if you do bad and almost never says you did good. That would be terribly annoying. Of course he is warm inside but if the core tells you **** yourself whatever you do, I dont think that would be very pleasant. I have a soft spot for Zedar too. I just dont think it was right to shut him in the rock. And no, im not afraid of caves like Silk :P. I would like to mention Aldur too. If god exists I would like him to be much like Aldur. Im surprised that only very few named Garion. I liked him a lot especially when he was just a simple-minded farmboy. I must love the dark prophecy (can't remember what is the english name of the "faceless players who play the game in which the moves are too complex to comprehend") too because without him this whole series of events wouldn't have happened. Hahaha, Im so clever.
