Tom Bombadill you either love or hate the queer dressing guy, personally i hate him and was so glad that they left him out of the film. I think it was probably his rhyme that is most annoying so give your views here on "merry old tom bombadillo"

I waded through his poems, but I thought he was a very interesting character. I didn't miss him in the film, even AFTER I read the book , but I still read that part of the book when I do re-read it. I like interesting people. ![]()

I wish there had been a choice of "I don't hate him, but I'm glad he's not in the film." Bombadil is not my favorite character and the silly poems are annoying. PJ made the right choice to -- as it were -- cut to the chase.
