Site Problems ? Post it here

I am restarting this thread because the other one was getting a bit long, and hard to find posts.

I don't think it's needs too much explaining, and i'm sure most of you lknow the major problems that happen with the site that don't need reorting.

I've also seen symptoms similar to this, when going through a REALLY slow works' firewall...

My guess was the CSS files not getting uploaded: the style sheets which say what colour the text, boxes etc should be.

It can't be the CSS because if it were all the colors would set to defaut. It sounds more like there's an error in the code that generates the page... all it takes is for one > to be left out. But I don't know much about ASP I know PHP tho and as far as I know the two have some similaritys.

i'd agree in principle, but if it were this, everyone would have the same problems... as I say, I've seen these same symptoms and it's only ever been at work.

[We'd better take this discussion somewhere else, though not sure where! Leave this thread for new problems.]

Unhappy Is this a planned outage?

Site has been down for over an hour now. I didn't see any system messages about planned maintenance but recall Pugs saying there will be a weekly outage. He didn't say when the weekly outage will occur though.

And are typically caused by Allan currently "playing" with that page behind the scenes anyway...
