Oh, I adore JR...he's such a nice and friendly guy.
I had the chance to meet him in germany and got two kisses from him.

He seems to be determined not to lose contact with his fans, obviously even feeling guilty -according to your post, Rowan - when he's filming and therefore doesn't have enough time for them.

I too hope you get the chance to meet him, SamJack.

I remember JR tellung us he'd lost 30 pounds in a very short amount of time for a film he did in Australia. He played a heroin addict and had to look worn and thin. Poor guy. Is everybody on diet? lol

Yeah, he did look thin... I hope he's put it back on!

Though we didn't discuss it he also sort of laughed knowingly when I mentioned the diet...

(And he gives GREAT hugs...)

OOps

Forgot to check in last week with my results. 2lb more down, that's 10 in total now. I've made a slight adjustment to my regime now. I still go to WW to get weighed but I follow Atkins now but don't go over WW points allowance, a sort of AtkinsWatchers. It seems to be working OK - as a friend of mine says "whatever spins your gate".

I go to WW tonite so I'll check in later with this week's results. Keep drinking the water - I'm up to 4 litres a day now and feel like a sponge.

Checked in at WW tonite - no change this week. A bit disappointed but will soldier on.

What a week...

Phoning Jr last Saturday, he came into our chatroom on Tuesday too, then on Wednesday a neighbour got a new kitchen and as a result I got a washing machine and microwave. :rain: I am paying for the washing machine though, sort of... Getting it up to the second floor with no lift was no fun! Took half an hour to get it to the base of the stairs then luckily found a guy with a trolley for the rest of the way (still hard...). The aches and pains from that mean Mr Motivator has not been out the last few days... Then of course there was Corin being cancelled from SG6

And.... 2 more pounds gone, and in spite of having a glass of wine last night.

SFX is only a couple of weeks ago, so I'm going to stick to induction / 15/20 gms carb for now, except I am going to start adding a few more foods, like tomatoes (not been eating coz I think they might be one I'm sensitive to) and fresh cheeses. So wish me luck!

Goods and Slows!

Way to go, Marianne. That's great! :circle: :flash: :circle:

And Rowan G, I understand. I've been stuck at the same spot for almost 3 months. {{{Rowan Green}}}. But, at least we aren't gaining! And we've stayed with it. :star: :star:

Last few weeks it been 0 to 1 pound :erm: Could have been worse though, since it was SFX and I wasn't able to totally stick to the diet. I had my first caffeine, bread and nuts in weeks, and I didn't gain over the week...

Early days yet, but I think I may have found my secret to get back on track... Throw away the diet diary!:wink2: It has been useful to do it because it's taught me a lot and I'm probably much better able to estimate my intake now. But the fact is I've had problems losing while I was keeping it, and now I've abandoned it the weight seems to be coming off this week. I guess while I was keeping it I was obsessing too much about food! I think it encouraged me to eat higher carb foods at the end of the day sometimes. So when I go onto later stages I don't think I'll be counting carbs, just adding more foods.

i haven't read what other have said in their post...so sorry if im repeating what they say...

The most important is NOT to starve yourself. It will do more harm than good.

First thing first, is change your eating routine...out goes chips, crisps, anything fries, chocolate etc etc. Especially, FAST FOOD. They may be fast food, but they will pile on those weight and if you are hooked on those, it will be hard to loose any weight.

Do some exercise, but not over do yourself Since you going to the gym, get some advice from the experts there.
