Now I know tyhis hasn't much to do with Stargate, but I thought it would be interesting...

I'm calling any and all Aussies to join me in the NRL and/or AFL footy tipping competition on the Footy Show website.

I thought it would a bit of fun to see how we all go against each other. Even if you're not a huge NRL or AFL fan it would be good to see how we go against each other.

I have also created a footy tipping "Team" just for us... So if you do decide to join, when you do, select the option to join a team...

Team Name : Stargate
Password : Footy

(The team name and password are the same for the NRL and AFL teams)

Then just select the teams you think will win. But even if you don't know anything about NRL or AFL , or don't (or forget to fill in the teams for each round), you still automatically get given the "Away Teams" as your pics... So it's not something that you need to do every week.

Anyway, the invite is out for those interested. I just thought it would add a bit of fun to the Aussie Stargate Contingent.

Normally I stay out of the whole footy thing, due bad childhood memories from VicKick (think kicking a goal for the wrong team in front of a huge crowd at Waverly, then getting knocked out

)....but Marty's gotta point. Buncha NRL nancy-boys...bet they use the ol' sock down the pants trick as well.

I think this is how mine went.... Run onto the field... Someone Kicking the ball to me... Waking up 10 minutes later, not knowing what the hell happened !:dead: :dead: Wondering why everyone was gathered around me staring... Then thinking... What the hell am I doing on the ground ?????

Yeah, it was something like that...except mine was my own fault, I guess: whatever you do while playing football, never, ever, NO MATTER WHAT, pull a face at the biggest guy on the other team.

Hey, we were all seven at the time. Face pulling was pretty much the biggest insult around, besides 'you smell!'. Ahhh, it was a simpler time...
