| The UK run has just finished. The Scifi channel over here (a very small outfit) doesn't seem to be advertising any reruns yet, but I am waiting for a Firefly marathon in about a month or so. I can't recommend watching these episodes in the correct order enough. And yes, the internet is a wonderful thing when it comes to watching what you want to watch, when you want to watch it! |

| yes tabitha it is important to watch them in the right order.... but there is a big problem with the UK order... it was aired out of order at the end.... Objects in Space and Heart of Gold were aired the wrong way round..... Heart of Gold is actually the Final Episode.... |

| You think so? What makes you think that Objects in Space should come before Heart of Gold? The conversation Mal and Inara are having at the beginning of the episode makes a lot more sense if OiS comes after HoG. And apparently Joss actually got in touch with UK SciFi to inform them of the correct order, as they were originally going to air them in the same order that Fox did. | Actually I was noticing on one of the episodes when the wepon was fired that it was silent in the shot outside the ship then there was an imediate shot to the inside where you could hear it. Very subtle but effective and cool. |

Inara announces in HoG she'll be leaving, and then in Objects in Space when we see Mal and Inara on the walkway, Inara is saying something along the lines of "I don't know why I haven't left yet". The crew obviously have some bigger things to worry about in OiS than Inara actually getting ready to leave, so it makes sense that she didn't really get the opportunity to broach the subject during the episode. *shrugs* that's just the way I saw it anyway. River's story has a little bit more coherence though if Objects in Space (specifically Kaylee's confession about what River did with the gun) comes directly after War Stories. | |

| Spoiler for Enterprise Ep 3.02 Okay is anyone else a little peeved that Enterprise is stealing that scene from Firefly when Malcom is interigating Jayne by holding him in the bay while they are lifting off from the planet's surface. I'm ****-ed. |

| Spoiler tags are very simple. Use {spoiler}Text to be greyed out in here{/spoiler} But replace {} with []. Like so: Text to be greyed out in here I will edit your previous post in case any one of our many non-US/Canadian members is trying to stay Enterprise spoiler-free. Please use the tag from now on in similar situations. |

| Well, is it any less of a spoiler if you come across it in a different place from where you might expect a spoiler? I am planning on watching that episode of Enterprise this evening, so you've given me a little spoiler. Doesn't really bother me too much, but some people really really really hate them, and I find it is always best to err on the side of caution - I don't want to inadvertently ruin someone's enjoyment of a show. I think the important factor is really that it is a brand new ep that only North Americans would have had the chance to see so far - and there are quite a lot of Enterprise fans in other parts of the world! |

| Well, if this thread hasn't become a catch-all for everything. On the subject of sound, I agree with all that's been said about the sound in space but what bothers me is - Why do their guns have to make silly-sounding noises? Just because it's a SciFi show do the guns have to sound special? In the battle scenes in the pilot there are a mix of beam (laser or whatever) and projectile (bullet) weapons. So why do the bullet guns have to make lame whirring noises when they are cocked? Don't today's pistols and rifles make ominous enough sounds? They're deadly - we get it. Making them sound "futuristic" does nothing for me. In fact the noise makes them sound like kid's toys to me. That's one of my few peeves about the show. |
