FARSCAPE Burbank con...

OK, first, who's going? Second, does anyone know which cast members will be appearing? Third, I'm considering going, but I'll have to fly out from Boston, so it would be helpfull if I could find a roomie! Anyone?

Bon, I'm definately going. I already bought two tickets at last year's con for this year. I don't know if Mysterious Stranger is planning on coming out again this year, but you're more than welcome to stay with me in my room... once I get one. You can PM him about his travel details (since I live close enough to drive) including the airport/hotel shuttle.

Don't know for sure which actors will attend, but I'm willing to place money on the following (because they seem to be spending a LOT of time here at cons anyway): Wayne Pygram, Lani Tupu, Johnathon Hardy, Virginia Hey. I think these four will be in San Diego at the comic con in July, so it wouldn't be too hard for Creation to keep them busy until November's FS con. I'll do what I can to find out if Anth, Claud, Gigi or Ben will attend, but these guys work pretty regularly and don't have a lot of free time. I think Ben would have gone last year, but he was in the process of moving from Sydney to LA :crying: and at the moment Claud was on stage, he was with his kids on the way to see Santa. *Sigh* Their last Aussie Santa.

Let me know if you need any more help or info, Bon. PM or email me if you need to.

Anyone else going?

Thumbs up

Thanks PK! If I can go, I sure hope they all will be there, since this will be my first convention. I was gonna wait to see if there will be one again in NY, since I can get there by bus, but all my AScifi buds seem to prefer CA! Last year, (Iwas laid off work so couldn't go) no one responded when I posted asking if anyone was going to NY. So, I guess in a couple of weeks when I find out how much my rent's getting raised, (therefore better able to find out how much I can spend) , I'll start looking for a good airfare deal to get me to where all the fun Scapers are! :rotate: :smiliea: :wink2: :wink2:

Now I don't want to get off on a rant here but...

Yes I will be attending this year. Come hell or highwater I'll be there. After last year's "Pinnacle Moment of My Life" how could I resist?

And Bon? We'd be more than happy to have you come play with us in sunny SoCal! It's a blast, I guarantee!

(I'll be seeing Virginia this weekend at the KC PlanetComicon so I'll ask if she's been invited to attend and if she's gonna be there)

ROCK ON SCAPERS!!!

Exclamation Farscape con date changes!

Okay, guys. Just got a message from Creation and called the hotel. The dates for the con in Burbank this year were changed to Nov. 14-16. Mark you callenders. Ask for the correct vacation time.

Be there.

FRELL!!! Now I gotta adjust my vacation time at work. But at least it's not a last minute change and I haven't booked a flight yet.

I'm sooooo glad I didn't purchase tickets yet! I was just reading another post about the Chicago con. Sounds great. So far Creation hasn't announced one guest that will be there. I'm gonna hold off longer, to see what the best bet is. I really want to go to Burbank and meet my fav. Scapers, (as well as the cast) but I'm having trouble finding a way there. None of the airlines fly direct to Burbank. In fact, they all seem to make at least 2 or 3 stops, taking up to 11 hrs! And the fare is over $500 for that inconvenience! Add to that con. tickets at $350., hotel, meals, cabs to and from the airport, and I just don't know if I can do it. I wish it was in LA. It's easier and cheaper to get to.

For your situation, Chicago is probably better anyway. Creation won't announce what guests they'll have until summer sometime, so you're better off just planning the Chicago trip.

Sorry I won't get to meet you. I simply can't afford to go to both.

Question

I'm gonna hold off making a decision as long as I can. I'm worried about airlines going under. Don't want to purchase a ticket and lose my money.

Talking BEN

Wow! This is getting to be a real diff. decision. I still havent figured out how to get info on if there is any kind of shuttle service from LA to Burbank, or any kind of bus. I really want to see Ben...

Yeah, it is a tough decision. But, for me, after last year's romp I'm definitely hitting the SoCal scene. I might head out to Scapercon but that's dependent on several factors that I'll not bore you with.

And Bon, have you tried contacting the Burbank Hilton to see if they have shuttle service from LAX? I'm sure they can give you info on how to get there from the airport. And if nothing else, maybe one of our Scaper friends can pick you up or share a ride with you. If Burbank is where you wanna go that is.

Talking Burbank's not the only con!

MS is right, Bon. If you need info or even help, just give a shout out to the FarscapeCreationCon yahoo group. There are hundreds of helpful people who can answer questions and provide tips as well as rides that weekend.

Oh, yeah!

Guess what?

I just found out the most splendid news!

There are going to be two more special additions to the Farscape panel planned at the San Diego comic con this year. Wayne Pygram, Lani Tupu, Johnathon Hardy, and Virginia Hey are already going to be here in San Diego for this con and will be on at least one panel: the one dedicated to Farscape. So who has recently been added to this prestigeous list?

Well....

Ben Browder

and

Fran Bueller!!!

:circle: :flash: :rotate: :smiliea: :rain:

Can you tell how happy I am?! Ben's gonna be in my very own home town! Finally!

Now I don't want to get of on a rant here but...

It just keeps getting better and better this weekend with more news of who's gonna be where!!! First there's Ben and Fran at Burbank, then Ben and Fran at Comicon (along with others). Now I just read that there are a few more folks confirmed for the Burbank con. Hold on to your butts folks, cuz here they are (in no particular order)

That red-headed wall-walker herself:

RAELEE HILL

The man of many talents:

LANI TUPU

And making her Creation Farscape con return:

VIRGINIA HEY

That's right folks, not only are Ben and Fran and Raelee and Lani coming but Virginia is gonna be there too! And it looks like Lani is gonna be an "official" guest this year.

Now on a side note, when I spoke to Virginia Hey at Planet Comicon this March it didn't seem very likely that she'd be able to attend Burbank this year. I'm sworn to secrecy as to why but the announcement that she'll be there is truly awesome! If you guys knew what I know you'd understand why. But that's not an issue now so behold and rejoice! Burbank's gonna be a hoppin' good time!
