Transformers -- annoyingly I let this one pass me by for hte greater part - but had I seen more of it it would be in the list!

And TV should go back to the 80s and early 90s!!!!

Anyone else remember The Yearling?

I'm pretty sure it was anime, if not definitely in that style, I watched it in the 80's but it may well be from earlier. It was unusual enough to have a kids show dealing with the death of a main character but especially so that of a child.
