Re: Your top 5 kids cartoons. I notice people have mentioned Dogtanian -- I must've really liked that cartoon because I stole Dogtanian as my imaginary friend! I wasn't so completely without an imagination that I had to steal friends from the tv, I had a hell of a lot of other imaginary friends (and animals and worlds ) but I think I must've liked him so much that I coaxed him live in my head ![]() Count Duckula! There's another cartoon I used to watch. Just remembered it!

Re: Your top 5 kids cartoons. Ah, Thundercats. I recently bought the first half of season 1 DVD boxset. Like Labyrinth, even better than I remembered. So, Thundercats are number 1.. Can I have a film? If so, the animated Robin Hood is next. Then Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Captain Starr (the episode with the hypnotic green carpet is just... surreal) and Jakers! the adventures of Piggley Winks. Yes, I know the last one is CGI, and it's out now... and I'm 23, but I still like it.

Re: Your top 5 kids cartoons. Speaking of shows holding up to reviewing, Foxtel's (pay-tv) Boomerang channel has just started showing the 80's Astroboy Anime which is one of my all time favourite cartoons. It's probably 20+ years since I've seen it and I'm amazed at how well it holds up, the animation is great as is the general vision of the future. In the end it is a kids cartoon but the storylines for the episodes I've seen have been really good, its on at a bad time for me so I miss it more often then not but I'm definitely hoping to see a few more of these.
