Re: Your top 5 kids cartoons.

Yup, they ruined Scooby-Doo, first by bringing in celebrities, then mucking about with the characters.

The only one to pass muster was the original, "Scooby Doo, Where are you ?" I also had a soft spot for Hong-Kong Phooey, Top Cat and Dastardly and Muttley in their Flying Machines. Wacky Races wasn't too bad either.

Re: Your top 5 kids cartoons.

Thundercts
Ulyses 31
Dogtanian and the three muskerhounds
Dungeons and Dragons
Mysterious cities of Gold

Though just about any cartoon out there especially from the 80's will have been watched not as fussed by newer stuff though.

Re: Your top 5 kids cartoons.

Oh I do like Sponge Bob ... for some reason the cartoons can be shown on TV here but the books are banned. Apparently Sponge Bob is gay. Don't ask me how someone worked that out okay.

Hang on I also like Futurama ... a lot.

Does Futurama count as a kid's cartoon? What about the Simpsons?

Re: Your top 5 kids cartoons.

To show my age, and in no particular order:

Top Cat
Johnny Quest (original series)
The Flintstones (not made for children, but seemed to be shown as such here in the UK)
Tom and Jerry
Bugs Bunny

Honourable mentions for: Yogi Bear; Daffy Duck; Roadrunner.

Shows like Torchy the Battery Boy, Pingwings(?), Supercar, Firebell XL5, Stingray and Thunderbirds were animated, but weren't cartoons; I have to mention them: they helped make me the person I am today. ( - I'll be talking to my lawyers about suing the current copyright owners!)

I'll have to update my list - I'd forgotten about Mysterious Cities of Gold and Ulysses 31. I'm about the same with just about anything from the 80s.

Re: Your top 5 kids cartoons.

This is only my fav kids cartoons. I dont put my fav animes, adult cartoons like Simpsons in the list cause thats a total different list.

1. Tom and Jerry - the most classic cartoon and the most fun in any genre and in any list. I have watched them over10000 times. Never ever gets old. My fav eps are the few eps poor Tom actually won and got Jerry First cartoon i will show my first born!

2. Bugs Bunny & Looney Toons - funniest rabbit in the world i loved his voice. Roadrunner and the coyote is also a classic.

3. The Flintstones

4. Batman animated

5. Spiderman

What can i say i adore the classics and grew up on them. All these modern Turtles,Batmans,Scooby Doo's cant touch them!

Re: Your top 5 kids cartoons.

I used to watch Uliseyes 31 (sorry bout the spelling) loved it and it was in my view quite odd as it actually finished, as oposed to say Dungons and Dragons (oh god what is with my brain today!) and HE-MAN.

I also used to watch something called the Sentinels dont think it lasted long but I remmber it.

1. Was Uliseys (yes I know!)
2. Dungons and Dragons (urgh my spelling)
3. HE MAN and the Masters of the Universe (Skeletor was my Hero alwyas wanted him to win, Yes I'm weird!) Battle of the Planets gets an hounarable mention though I never knew what was going on!
