| Also read that Morena Baccarin has landed a role in a pilot by the name of "Still Life". Info from Fireflyfans.net Quote:
Glad to hear that our Firefly Actors are being kept in the Mutant Enemy fold. I find this encouraging - obviously working relationships are good, and this bodes well for any further Firefly productions (I know, I know, it is mostly a lost cause, but I can dream). ps - it is just KILLING me trying to avoid those Buffy and Angel spoiler threads.... ![]() | |

| Hi, new here, anyway just wanted to add my bit. I got this off of here: http://www.fireflyfans.net/news.asp?newsid=374 "Looks like Alan Tudyk is going from working with CGIs to becoming a CGI. According to Cinescape, Tudyk has just landed the role of Sonny, the principle robot in "I, ROBOT," based on the Issac Asimov novel of the same title, and stars Will Smith. Tudyk will provide the same type of CGI-reference acting duties as those of Andy Serkis for "Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" as Gollum. " Cheers! |

| That's going to be weird - I wasn't familiar with Serkis before seeing footage of Gollum, but obviously having watched a fair amount of Tudyk in Firefly I wonder will the robot's body movements seem strangely familiar? |

| Oh I haven't even seen or heard of I,Robot. It's an old scifi film right? Well I'll see if I can rent it somewhere this weekend. I'm still always on this Firefly binge and I guess this film might keep me satisfied for a short while. Cheers, Hal |

| You would do well everyone to get Asimov's Robot stories. There are a whole series of them - the man wrote over 300 books. He was one of my favorite SciFi authors. Many of the robot tales are in short story form and they are an easy, enjoyable read. Don't buy them new, go to the used bookstores, there should be a HUGE amount of Asimov paperbacks, since his work was published in many editions over the years. |

| But we can still cross our fingers (or whatever ritual we use to bring about good things) that Joss and Co. are able to come out with a DVD of the series. ...Including the three episodes that FOX produced that were never broadcast! |

| The NY Daily News has the following comment reportedly from Gail Berman, Fox Entertainment President, published on May 16: "The unlucky shows include... "Firefly," which Berman said creator Joss Whedon was planning to refashion and revive as a movie." AND The NY Times asked Joss 10 questions, published on May 16. Q8. "Firefly" was the first time in a while when your ideas did not get to make it through to fruition. First of all, is there anything you would like to share with people following the show on the edge of their seats? And secondly, having seen how you turned a previous disappointment, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," the movie, into an artistic success on your own terms, can we hope for something similar with "Firefly"? A. "Firefly." I’ll answer the second question first. I have every hope in the world of bringing "Firefly" back to people in another format. I haven’t got anything definite yet but I’ve been fighting to do that since the day we were cancelled. I therefore don’t have any particular plot things I want to share with people because I’m hoping I’ll get the chance to do that in the near future, whether it be on TV, film or a t-shirt. It was a bizarre blow to have a story in your head and suddenly not get to tell it. I don’t know why, I’ve written movies long enough to know that that’s usually the case, but after "Buffy" and "Angel" sort of took off I got lulled into overconfidence and was so excited to tell the stories of these people, and then suddenly had it truncated. However, knowing that what we shot will be coming out on DVD in its full form is a big vindication, because I got to say a lot of things that I wanted to say right, up in the first episodes. So, as I said, watch and wait. |
