Unhappy Keith on Andromeda (spoilers)

Here are a couple of small clips from a message Keith posted on his board

Season 4 of Drom:
I have an obligation for 4 episodes in total for the fourth season. Which is to say that if TPTB chose to write up to four episodes that involve the character Tyr, I am obliged to go and make them, but it is entirely their prerogative. There is little point, I think, in discussing here the circumstances which created this turn of events. The majority of Tyr fans can fairly accurately assume, and those who know a little something about the actor even more so. There will be conversation about this in the future, I'm sure, but it really doesn't require much.

Hair:
Very all-American I'm looking these days. It's one of the many changes taking place. An external change; aesthetic, and ultimately insignificant when one considers the broader perspective. It was not a difficult thing to do, as many people suspect, and I am certainly no different without it, except perhaps to the people who never saw past it; who that hugely ethnic feature frightened or intimidated (no small few). That's a whole 'nother discussion. For now, I believe MaidMotherCrone said it rather well in her post. http://keithhamiltoncobb.com/board/...15&pagenumber=2

The saddest aspect is that it was necessary. Other than that, I'm liking the shape of my head.

Not so happy

He's leaving Andromeda! First Rev Bem, now Tyr. Don't know if I want to watch Andromeda next season, if there even is a next season!

He's going to be missed. As for the hair Lisaine, yes he cut it but I have to say that he still looks so hot.

I found this online:

Quote:
Cobb Quits Andromeda

The Sci-Fi Talk Web site reported that Keith Hamilton Cobb will leave the syndicated SF series Andromeda, where he plays the Nietzschean Tyr Anasazi. Cobb said he was joining castmate Brent Stait (Rem) and former executive producer Robert Hewitt Wolfe, both of whom left the show a while back, the site reported.

"I know that the American fan base, as expressed online, seems rather displeased with the developments of the third season," Cobb said. "My own personal opinion as far as my character, that it's always been somewhat lacking and has only gotten worse. So I had not planned to do a fourth season for that reason."

Cobb said that he will appear in four episodes of a fourth season, if the producers want him.

I can't believe the show will be without a star Nech. character! He added such a nice mix to the cast. He will truly be missed.

I only hope they can find someone else to fill the void. I'm waiting for them to recruit Nicholas Lea as a Nietzschean.

Since it's now for sure that Keith is leave, I wonder how they're going to do it. I hope that they give him a better farewell then they gave Rev.

I'd like to see him return to Yvaine, from Music of a Distant Drum, and live there with his son maybe. But I don't think that after all they've been through together that Tyr would willingly leave the Andromeda. I'd almost prefer it if he died in some grand, very Tyrlike way.

Ah, I never watched X-files regularly, so it's no wonder I don't recognize the name.

What I'd like to see for Tyr's story arc would be for him to actually restart the Kodiak pride and claim his son publicly. That AND reveal that his son is Museveni's heir! (The Prophesied One? Something...)

So would I, but it would be kind of disapointing to see him do that and then have him just leave the show. Sure, he'd start the pride again, but then again we'd have no closure. How did things turn out? Unless of course, Keith is willing to come back as a reoccuring character.

Talking

I definitely would like to see him go better than Rev. I would love to see him return to organize the nietzcheans or something like that. And that they don't kill his character so he could make is he like from time to time guest appearances like Rev's character. That definitely would be cool.
