| Why do the bad guys always pick on Jack? Why do the bad guys always pick on Jack? e.g., always getting whacked on the head by staff weapons, he's been zapped by the pain stick more times than anyone else (on SG-1, anyway). Why? And can you think of other examples? I suspect that the why may be his big, insulting, sarcastic mouth, but I want your reasons! C'mon, be nice to this poor little kitty! If you don't post I'll send my big scary hockey aliens after you! Hey, Todd Bertuzzi is dangerous! I'm sure Dan Cloutier can whack you over the head, well, not with a staff weapon, but he could use a hockey net! Catgirl meow, eh?Keep your stick on the ice! |

Well, not only the leader thing, but, man, Jack is just so darned snarky all the time. He just says stuff and it kinda gets him in trouble. I dunno - he's just Jack. My hockey aliens are scarier than your hockey aliens! ![]() My hockey aliens are: Stanley, Hatcher and Modano - 2 Dallas Stars and one Stanley Cup! HOOOORAH! Another hockey fan!

I mean even the asgaurd think so. :aliengray He get's in trouble alot because he's got attitude. Daniel, Sam and Teal'c even jonas would never step over as many lines as Jack would. They'd at least try to be polite. Jack seems to have trouble in that department.

| My opinion ... C - he askes for it followed by B - The easiest to annoy. I don't think A enters into it. You don't get where he is in the military by being a simpelton. JMO-YMMV. Rowan |

But you don't need to be able to build a Stargate from a cornflakes box and sticky backed plastic either! And in the company of Daniel and Sam, Jack is certainly trailing the field in that ability. Whilst Teal'c is obviously the platoon sergeant and therefore doesn't count (in TV circles). What you do need to reach a Colonel (and be good at it) is a whole lot of charisma and common-all-garden sense, all generously marinated in a touch of cunning. All this O'Neil appears to have in buckets. But that would not make him look any less like a simpleton at first glance and in the presence of the other two. Simply makes him a bigger target. Besides the SG1 team is short of real brains, there is no Warrant Officer 1. Who by and large are far too intelligent to get roped in!
