According to SciFi Wire, the Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling's spokesperson confirmed to the Reuters news service that she recorded a small voice part for an upcoming episode of the animated series The Simpsons. In the episode, Rowling will meet Homer Simpson and his family when they visit England.

Yeh I heard this news this morning too.
Apparently the the simpsons come to England looking for a girl Grandpa Simpson met during the war.
The episode will also have guest voice of Sir Ian McKellen.

Should be a good one!

The episode of The Simpsons which JK Rowling will appear in is called The Regina Monologues, we can exclusively reveal. In it the Simpson family visit the UK. JK appears as herself in the episode, which takes place in the UK. It's been reported that the Simpson family visit England to find a girl Grandpa had a wartime fling with.

It's expected to air in the US in November or December of this year. There's no word yet on when it will appear in the UK.
