well as the relationship between john and scorpius has continued in season four we have seen an ever increasing display of trusting on johns part and a bolder character on the part of scorpius in the recent season four episodesthey have been bantering well but at the begining of the season they had a hate relationship, what is happening

I don't think that John really trusts Scorpy, he's just acting like he does so he can see what Scorpy's real deal is.

John banters with everyone, and in order for Scorpy to gain any amount of trust from John, he's smart enough to know that he ought to banter back.

Scorpy's a survivor. And in order to survive on Moya (and ultimately achieve his own goals) he knows he has to gain a measure of trust from more than just Sikozu. It's obvious that D'Argo will never trust him, and he doesn't really care if others like Chi and Granny trust him, and he already got Aeryn to trust him, so John's his best bet. Besides, John is the only one who has what Scorpy really wants, so he's the only one Scorp needs to manipulate.

Every relationship changes. Scorp and John are no different than anyone else in that regard.
