From what I've heard JQ will remain with the SGC, but not on SG1. He'll have a "reduced role" -- perhaps like Janet or Walter. Pity. I'd like to see an SG team of 5.

me too, I don't see what the problem of a 5 team member is...

I can see Hammond setting 4 as the 'minimum' number per team, but not as the maximum. And we've seen eps where DJ was with another team as in "Double Jeopardy" and "First Ones." So a 4-person SG1 is not sacrosanct.

As for the duplication of JQ and DJ's knowledge, well it was an artificial creation of the writers so JQ could fill in for DJ. The writers can now create some other area of expertise for JQ -- naquadria would be good for a start.

the most recent 'official' word is that Jonas will be a recurring role, however that level of involvemetn could mean many things.
Hammond is sort of recurring and he's in each eps, janet is in about half, Dad is in 1-3 per season.

I'd love to have him aroudn more, but I just don't see it. IMHO, he'll be pushed aside by the second eps or so, maybe come back in the middle then show up for the finale (assuming the movie isn't rewritten to have him written out)

we'll find out in june

exactly. Yes, there is a script, but i also think there's been a script for teh alledged superman movie for a couple of years now.

I'll believe in teh movie wehn i hear that it's started filming.

Worst case scenario, they could use that script and make it into a two hour series (show) finale
