Huge price discrepancy between Buffy S3 R1 & R2 - Science Fiction Fantasy Chronicles: forums

Very strange - i shelled out about £60 for the season three dvd set last year on R2, and while it is still on sale for that price, the R1 set only costs £30. And from what I can tell from looking at the relevant entries on www.play.com, the two sets seem to have identical features.

Anyone know what is going on here?

And I doubt there's any difference in content - just coding -

which is mostly why I think it's stupid to have the different regions - what's the point? if they'd just release the stuff to everyone - there wouldn't be an issue --

however - I'm not sure why there would be such a huge difference in price -- that's kind of odd ---

It is very odd - I would almost understand if it were the other way around, and us Europeans were paying a premium for the imported US discs, but we seem to be paying double for our own region.
