Yup, you’re right.
It doesn't favor to well for Ron though but I guess with the changes that Ron made, you could say that most of us seen it coming. How ever, there is a site called filmjerk.com and there will be a review on the script there too. In all I think there are around 4 people that have it and are writing reviews for it.

It will be interesting to see what they have to say.

Well, I got a chance to read it all thoroughly and it seems just as bad as I was hoping it wouldn't be.

Lightbulb Dark Horizons Link

Plus www.filmjerk.com will have a review soon

My review of this review:

In a life and death struggle with a ruthless enemy, where is the Esprit de Corp? Nothing at all like TOS series last remnants of mankind united by a surprise attack, followed by near universal holocaust by a ruthless enemy. The new Battlestar Galactica characters hedonistic, self-centeredness, lack of respect is not logical, remember how The United States rallied together after 9/11, or Pearl Harbor. Ron D. Moore must dismiss this as sunshine patriotism.

The apparent lack of the respect for family, the chain of command, the oh so very obvious ‘Trek’ tactics, tends to remind us of Moore’s pervious job, alas he will end up with this four hour 'mini' with no prospects for a series.

Moore’s plot seems like a ploy to attract teenage boys raging hormones with kinky sex, little respect for senior officers or family is the antithesis, of what we know about a cathartic event like 9/11 a on a world wide scale.

Roswell was better than this nonsense.

Having read the review, it does look as if the remake will be a lot more 'grown up' than the original.

It looks as if it will be much harder and darker, with some effort to show that not everybody is a warrior and that the Cylons have a greater goal than just the extinction of humans.

To attempt to compare the whole concept to 9/11 or Pearl is, IMHO. misleading. The scale of the tragedy here is much larger, with the overthrow and virtual extinction of a race. Perhaps Dresden would be slightly better?

The will of the people has broken and all we have left is 50,000 survivors selected from many hundreds of thousands of other survivors. It is a sad point that many of those 50,000 will be people who are there for their own salvation.

Whether the remains of the military are in any better state would also be debatable. Morale would be low, in the scenario as has been laid out, with the Galactica being laid up (I've seen battle-hardened Sergeants cry when their Regimental Colours have been laid up!). Then to find their leaders have been so vastly wrong, will break all but the most disciplined troops.

The review gave no detail of how this plot scenario is worked. If it is done well it could well be a powerful drama/adventure as well as the much craved action.

Of course this does not mean the series will be a success. As a drama it will appeal to a much different sect than it did as a light action/adventure?
And of course to work it would have to be done well, which could also be beyond the ability of Mr Moore?
