Come on, the animated version was very ambitious and good in its day!
If it had been finished we might not be watching the newest version.

As for which of the newest films is to be waited for with baited breath: If Two Towers is half as good as the trailers suggest. Then the Return of the King is going to be off the scale

Talking

I'm looking forward to ROTK the most. It's my favourite book out of the lot and assuming it stays relatively close to the book it should be great. The movie also has parts of TTT (book) in it so it should be really packed. I'm sure my jaw will drop to the floor during a lot of the scenes, of course the same could be said for all the movies.

Of course, I'm looking forward to ROTK. Then all three will have been released. I'll have the DVD for the first two by then and will only have to wait for the DVD of ROTK so I can spend many happy hours in Middle Earth again and again. :rolly2:

You said it, Shaun! :rolly2: Me, too!

Besides, RotK is really Aragorn's story. :naughty:

Oh, yeah and the ring finally gets destroyed.

Thumbs up

Return of the King, of course!

Of the other two, I think I prefer Fellowship just a liiiittle bit over Two Towers. But they were both fantastic!!:coolyello

I duno where I stand on wether FOTR or TT: which is better, i liked FOTR's more lighthearted (slightly) feel that TT but I loved the combat scenes in TT... hmm...

TTT is handicapped by being a film with no beginning and no end. Its a wonderful middle though. Now we just have to get past that "To Be Continued" frustration until ROTK comes out.
