I cant recall quotes or instances too easily, so i was just wondering - would vamps be able to go under a sunbed? Is it just the UV lights that kill them or the natural sunlight? I know i should know this, i think the answer is there in the back of my mind, like someone has mentioned something before, but i cant remember, and it was annoying me so i was wondering if any of you Buffy Trivia Gods and Goddesses could help me out? xxx

Well - we were having a discussion in Vampires and Sunlight a while back - but I'm not sure sunbed / tanning beds came up -- b/c I think I asked if it was the UV light that bothered / fried vamps - which, it very well may be - and if that is the case - then sunbeds would be a BIG no-no for vamps -- I don't think it's every been mentioned on the show - there's nothing in canon (that I can recall) to say one way or the other - tho, for some reason, I don't see vamps lining up at the local tanning salon just so they look less dead -- ![]() Good question tho --

No prob - My theory is that the UV light is the problem - which would idicate that tanning beds are a no-no -- but yeah - Tan Spike would be cool --- JM spends a lot of time staying away from the sun so he doesn't have tan lines --- dedication -----

There was an article with David Boreanaz in the Sept issue of FHM where he was asked that question: You play a vampire, so are you banned from using sunbeds? Er, I don't know, that's a good question. But it's sunlight that would kill him, so I guess artificial light would be okay. So myabe he could go to the sun tanning salon to get a little sun. I like that idea - I'm going to incorporate it next season!
