Another good episode but at one point I did wonder what was going on with Willow and 'the gang' not being able to see each other. Obviously after a while I cottoned on to the fact that something strange was happening. Anya was brilliant in this episode, a person who speaks their mind. Good for her!!!! annette ![]()

I liked this episode... a lot. There were so many good elements to it that you have all mentioned already. The cutting from Buffy to Willow was done very subtly and was enjoyable to watch. Spike's scene with the two mutually-invisible parties was just fantastic - I have to confess I didn't see it coming until we see Buffy and Xander walking along in the basement [side note - did anyone else catch the reference to the High School basement changing configurations?!], I think the reason I didn't see it coming was that Crazy Spike didn't need to have been talking to someone invisible - very well shot and acted. I especially liked the phrases that applied both to Buffy and to Willow "You went away", for example. What I loved most about this episode is that is was really funny! Dawn's paralysis was hilarious - Willow's not so much (she was being eaten alive - not funny in my book!), there were so many great lines, none of which I really made a mental note of, apart from the following: Dawn "It's Smell-ementary" (ok this one's a groaner, but still worth a giggle) The demon was a bit of a Gollum-a-like, and he was kind of annoying - actually reminded me of the demon from OMWF, not really sure why, maybe it was his voice. "I love a gift, can't wait to unwrap it" :dead: I found it quite ironic that Willow was in danger of being flayed - after what happened in last season's climax, perhaps this will give her even more perspective on what she did.

Yes see, w/o 'crazy-Spike' - this episode wouldn't have worked very well. And, personally, I like crazy-Spike, so I didn't want him to 'go away' this early - I'm glad he is still around in this episode (and I'm still not sure why everyone is so impatient and was tired of crazy-Spike after 2 episodes - that still totally floors me) -- This season, they seem to be stretching out the character arcs (they way they should have been doing from the beginning, but hey, I'm just a viewer) - so, expecting 'crazy-Spike' to be gone after two or three episodes makes no sense - and he's around for a reason - can you necessarily tell from 2 eps? probably not - but he's there and has a purpose - (then again, I always think Spike has a purpose, so my opinion's a smidge biased on this front )One other comment - what was with Buffy's clothes in this ep? That long white shirt? Ugh - what WAS that?

:rolly2: This episode was original, well scripted...well put together. It really stands out and represents the best of television programming. I think Spike has had a great season so far and offers an excellent look at some challenging ethical concepts - substantive, depth for a young adult series. How's that for intelligent programming? Spike really has a place in this series, particularly this year. Tabitha has really a true pulse on this series.
