Babylon 5 Season One DVD set. Anyone going to pick this one up? I am thinking about it, but as the song says, "money's too tight to mention", so it might have to wait till later. Go here for more details: http://www.playserver2.com/play247.a...2&title=105901

DVD's I most certainly am getting it, but I'll be waiting untl the R1 set comes out [ R2 in Oct, R1 in Nov 2002]. I can play R2's on my DVD and computer, but This series I'm playing holdout unless the US bails and doesn't complete it. I ordered them prerelease from Amazon with a discount code I got off of Warner Bro's BBS. I think I comes to $62 US or so counting S&H. Rowan< who's finishing up Stargate and Farscape in R2 so she at least has them...

| Thanks! Thanks, Triffid! I'm always up for adding a new DVD supplier to my list. :} That's a great price and I'll probably go ahead and cancel my Amazon order and go with them. I see they also have a pre-order on 'Due South', another fav of mine. As for HMV - they were the only ones who listed Michael Shanks' movie 'Suddenly Naked'. It's on it's way to me as we speak. | I really enjoyed watching this DVD set.. it's been a while since I watched B5 properly, as it is now showing on Bravo in the UK, which I don't get. The DVDs are great, well produced and packaged etc, well worth it if anyone hasn't already got them ![]() |

Okay ... I found this on a UK DVD board: ================================== You should probably take this as rumour at the moment as I haven't seen anything official. Several sources however are stating that Season 2 is due for release on 29th April 2003 and special features are listed as: Introduction by producer/creator J. Michael Straczynski and various cast members 2 episode commentaries by producer/creator J. Michael Straczynski Episode commentary by cast members Bruce Boxleitner, Claudia Christian and Jerry Doyle Building Babylon: Blueprint of an Episode featurette Shadows and Dreams: Honors of Babylon featurette The Universe of Babylon 5 data/tech/personnel files Babylon 5 Timeline Original episode promos ====================================== I also see the same confirmation on the Warner Brothers BBS. Someone said that DeepDiscountDVD.com is taking advance orders, but I don't that for sure. Rowan

Hang on, all - I've heard that the season 1 DVD set is nothing more than a cheap lift from video, and that the quality is pretty below standard. I figure if buying the DVD, it's worth having digital DVD quality, not video. Any comments?
