*lol* not on the first four books being the best of the X-Wing series. On that I whole-heartedly agree. Although ya gotta love Face and Wes in the Wraith books. It's just on the fact that I didn't like Corran Horn during those first three books.

why not he was great. well whatever, and yes i did like the Wraiths, and the chase after Warlord Zsing(spelling????) but my favorite book of the X-wing series most definetly was Starfighters of Adumar, i loved the humor and the fact that we got to hear about the best of the New republic has to offer for starfighter, i loved it:rolly2:

I think he was definitly one of them. He had a lot of depth that they don't often give to the evil characters in the books. Very cool that he was more of a stratigist rather than a brute force kind of guy.

He studied their approach to art (which says a lot about a culture) as well as the subject matter, style, and execution (including materials used) to see how they think. Art is a reflection of the culture. It told him how they approach things, what they think of issues, what their position is on war, freedom, slavery, etc. Thrawn (as a character) was much smarter than me, so I wouldn't be able to do this nearly as well as he did, but that's the gist. Personally, my favorite new characters from the EU are Talon Karrde and Mara. I like the smuggler types, I guess.
