I have a Bangles greatest hits CD with "Walk Like an Egyptian" on it.

Also remember playing with My Little Pony & the cartoon, as well as the Care Bears.

I also liked Michael J. Fox in TeenWolf -- classic 80's movie there.

The first computer my family got ran MS-Dos, not Windows, & had a monochrome monitor. At the age of 11 or 12, I learned how to run games in Dos. Also learned how to edit the config.sys and autoexec.bat files...for a kid, that is dangerous knowledge.

Oh jeez  I think I had a "Yes" to about 98% of those. The other 2% is a technichal yes, but a "will not admit under threat of death".

Jelly shoes, Garbage Pail Kids, and slap bracelets--what's worse, us kids that loved 'em or the folks who created them?

I actually wore jelly shoes to sunday school--with my bike shorts under my dress, and my neon pink puffy socks (jelly shoes and puffy socks!!?? My mom actually let me out of the house dressed like that!)

And have we forgotten Vanilla Ice? :dead:

I was born in 1980.
I can still sing the entire theme tune to the Fresh Prince and Ducktales.
I guess the 80's did have some good things.... though not many!
