| Stargate Reruns This just out on Gateworld: Sci-Fi to air Monday SG-1 marathons AUGUST 22, 2002 Surprise! The Sci-Fi Channel won't be airing Stargate SG-1's first four seasons every weeknight this fall after all. The cable network announced tonight that it will air four episodes every Monday night from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. (Eastern/Pacific), rather than airing the show in a strip format. The schedule starts with the two-hour pilot movie and the first two episodes of the regular series on Monday, September 30. It's an interesting and somewhat unprecendented strategy: hook viewers with an SG-1 marathon once a week, instead of trying to convince them to come back at the same time every single day of the week. On this schedule, it will take about five and a half months to complete Seasons One through Four. Season Six episodes, meanwhile, will air for four hours (two episodes, twice through) every Friday night -- at least for the month of September. It's not yet known whether Season Six reruns will continue into the fall, or if the show will join Farscape on hiatus. New episodes of both series resume in January. Season Five begins its syndication run in the U.S. in mid-September. GateWorld will continue to track both the Sci-Fi and syndication schedules, as they become available! Rowan |
